Italy

ZJoin us on cruises around beautiful Italian islands: Sicily, Sardinia, and Corsica. Sicily is the biggest island on the Mediterranean Sea. It impresses with its beaches and dunes, which stretch for many kilometers. The highest point in Sicily is the volcano Etna. Sicilian cuisine is considered one of the best in the world. It differs from typical Italian cuisine in its abundance of spices. Sardinia is the second biggest island in the Mediterranean. It is characterized by its picturesque beaches, fabulous bays, and stone nuraghes. One of the coasts of Sardinia was named after the color of the surrounding sea - the Costa Smeralda stretches along the north-eastern part of the island and looks as if it was bathed in emeralds. It attracts sailors and water sports enthusiasts. Corsica is called the Island of Beauty. Though it belongs to France it has strong ties with Italy, one of the reasons being the Italian Sardinia which lies to the south of the island. It is full of picturesque villages and towns. It is covered with evergreen brush which, combined with high mountains, creates a unique landscape. 40% of Corsica is a landscape park. The coast is attractive due to its fine, light sand.
